What we collect

We collect the name, email, phone number, and address you give us; the names of other guests; booking dates, the stay you choose, party size, dogs, breakfast, and special requests; payment references from Stripe and Guesty (we do not store full card numbers on this website); messages sent by email, WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form; and technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookie choices if you accept cookies.

Why we use it

We use this data to take, confirm, change, or cancel a reservation; to send arrival information; to answer questions before and during a stay; to meet legal, accounting, and tax duties; to keep the site secure; and, only if you accept optional cookies, to understand which pages are used. We send follow-up mail only when you have asked for it. The legal bases are contract, legitimate interests in running a small hotel, legal obligation, and consent for optional cookies.

Who we share it with

Processors who help us run the hotel receive the data they need: Guesty for property management, Stripe for payments, email and WhatsApp tools, and the website host. We do not sell guest lists. We may share data with police, insurers, or regulators when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for the period UK tax and company law requires, usually six years after the stay. Enquiry messages that do not become a booking are deleted within 24 months unless we still need them to finish a complaint.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, erasure, or a restriction, and you can object to some processing. You can withdraw cookie consent at any time. Write to contact@aossi.scot. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

A cookie banner appears on the site. Essential cookies make booking and language choice work. Optional cookies stay off until you accept them. This Next.js site does not currently run advertising pixels.

Children

We do not market to children. A booking may include a child's name only as part of a family reservation.
