A Victorian Retreat in the Heart of Glencoe

St John's Old Rectory is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion situated directly on the A82 in Ballachulish, at the gateway to Glencoe. Originally built in the 19th century as the home of the local Church of Scotland minister, the rectory has been thoughtfully transformed into a small boutique hotel offering three exquisite rooms — Yew, Juniper, and Larch.

Each room is individually decorated, blending period features — original cornicing, stone fireplaces, high ceilings — with contemporary luxury. Think freestanding bathtubs, quality linens, and carefully chosen furnishings that honour the building's heritage while delivering a thoroughly modern experience.

Unlike our self-catering lodges, the rectory rooms are ideal for guests who prefer a more classic hotel experience — breakfast available on request, a shared sitting room, and the warm atmosphere of a family-run boutique property.
